Heartbeat and Knowing a boy or girl

Its been awhile since we wrote on the blog, but since we have the opportunity Lane and I decided to post an update.

First thing that happened was the heartbeat. The first thought that went through my head was being afraid there wouldnt be a heartbeat. I was scared. Lane asked the doctor if it took time to find the heartbeat. His reply was " Its like finding a needle in a haystack." Then we both heard it, I cant describe in words the feeling of warmth and realization that we are actually having a baby, and a live healthy baby is living inside of me. Lane seemed to be in shock.. I think it took him awhile to form words. But eventually he told me,"...Wow."

The morning sickness came to haunt me again, back and forth, but i was allowed a few weeks reprief inbetween bouts. Right now we are at 15 wekks. About 4 months!!!! Our next appointment is in 4 weeks on December 21, 2010. THE WEEK OF CHRISTMAS!! We are both excited to know if we are expecting a boy or girl.

As for names, our girl is still Hannah Rachel Anderson, but we are still undecided with a boy name. This makes me think that we are having a girl, but its just hopeful thinking.

Thanksgiving is coming this week, for me it will be strange not to be with my family. Since they decided to leave for New York. I am looking forward to spending time with my new family, that came with Lane. Its hard to have energy to cook, but Lane is right by my side helping me put food together, and Bake!! I think he might turn out a better cook than me! Which is fine, he can prepare the meals! So for us, its nice to wave goodbye to the 1st trimester, and welcome the 2nd!
